Community Recreation (CR) Refund Policies

Cancellations

  • All classes are subject to cancellation if there are insufficient registrations.
  • If we cancel a course, you are entitled to a full refund or you may transfer to another program, space permitting. 
  • Cancelled classes due to weather conditions, facility issues etc within a programs duration will be made up at the end of session or a prorated refund will be issued.

Refunds

  • If circumstances beyond your control impact your ability to participate in our programs and/or it becomes necessary for you to transfer to another date/time, please contact your local Community Recreation office during regular scheduled business hours.
  • Full refunds for medical, or military related reasons (military member only) will be authorized prior to program start date, after the start date refunds will be prorated.
  • All other Full refund requests must be received 5 business days prior to the start of the program, after the start date refunds will be prorated.
  • If  50% or more of the program has elapsed, no refund will be issued.
  • If program advertises a required non-refundable deposit, no refund will be issued for the deposit.
  • In the case of a dispute, refund decision will be made by local PSP Manager.

Transfers 

  • To transfer to another course, please contact your local Community Recreation office during regular business hours.
  • Transfers are subject to space availability and depend on the Directors' approval.

Memberships

Refunds for CR or RV membership fees will only be issued for full unused months. 

Note

Refunds are issued to the original form of payment. However, CR cannot issue cash refunds. If a program registration or membership fees were paid by cash, a cheque request is actionned and a cheque will be mailed to the client's residence within a few weeks.

Code of Conduct

In an effort to provide participants and staff with a safe and enjoyable environment, inappropriate behaviour, foul language and aggressive behaviour to other participants and staff is not permitted, as well as intentional damage to NPP property and the property of others. Personnel Support Programs reserves the right to take necessary measures including, but not limited to, suspension or termination of enrolment and/or contacting the police when any participant contravenes Base/Wing/ Unit policies and/or by-laws.
